Responding to the latest unemployment figures for Wales FSB Wales Policy Unit Chair Janet Jones said: “It is pleasing to see that the unemployment rate in Wales has fallen again and remains below the UK average for the second month in succession.

“Wales’ SMEs have played a huge rule in providing the 74,000 additional jobs that have been created in Wales in the space of a year.

“However, we cannot take this lower level of unemployment for granted. Many of our members are facing a combination of challenges, with issues including pension staging dates and concerns about quarterly tax reporting having the potential to impact on hiring intentions of small businesses in Wales.”
