One lucky Leicester City fan can buy a piece of football motoring history as a Mercedes previously owned by the club’s top striker goes for sale on Auto Trader.

The current owner of the car who’s selling it privately on Auto Trader, said he’d been on the lookout for a Mercedes C63 AMG when he was offered two different models which amazingly had both been owned by professional footballers.

One Mercedes C63 in Metallic White was owned by now retired Zatyiah “Zat” Knight, of Bolton FC, with the other car in Polar White previously owned by Jamie Vardy, who at the time was playing for a Leicester City side fighting relegation in the Premier League.

The car had a number of football grounds programmed in the car’s Sat Nav – along with a dance album which was left in the CD player. The current owner, Danny Sangster, a private seller based in Essex, said, “What Leicester City have achieved this season has been nothing short of incredible, and it’s been brilliant driving around in a car that I know was previously owned by arguably the country’s best footballer this season.

But I know there might be a Leicester City fan who would treasure this car as a piece of motoring history – so that’s why I chosen to put it for display on the UK’s largest car marketplace in hope of finding that person.”

Jamie Vardy was bought by Leicester City from Fleetwood Town in 2012 for £1m, and was part of the Leicester team that was promoted to the Premier League in 2014. This season the 29 year old has scored 29 goals, and is now competing for the Premier League Golden Boot with the final game of the season looming this weekend.

The 2013 Mercedes C63 AMG is for sale on Auto Trader for £38,500, and has just over 14,000 miles on the clock with the private seller claiming it has only been used on weekends.
