The scheme is the result of a partnership between Haverfordwest Business Circle and Pembrokeshire County Council.

Over 40 members of the Business Circle – many of them independent traders – have signed up to the initiative.

Every time a customer spends more than £10 in a single transaction at a participating outlet, they receive a stamp on a card.

Once they have collected ten stamps they are entitled to 10 per cent off in any of the participating stores.

The Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economy and Communities, Keith Lewis, said he hoped shoppers would support the scheme.

“If everyone gets behind the Loyalty Card idea, it would be a great boost not only for local traders but for the town itself” Councillor Lewis added.

The scheme will be launched on Wednesday, 1st June, from when loyalty cards will be available from participating stores.
