Visitors to Swansea’s iconic Brangwyn Hall have given the historic attraction a resounding thumbs-up.
Based on visitor feedback, the attraction has again been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, the world’s leading travel website.
To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
Over the last year, Brangwyn customers have given the venue a 93% average satisfaction rating on TripAdvisor. Over 65% of visitors also gave the attraction the top five-star rating, making the Brangwyn Hall Swansea’s favourite venue for concerts and shows.
It’s the second consecutive year that the Brangwyn has been recognised with the certificate, which accounts for the quality, quantity and timeliness of reviews submitted on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.
Swansea Council runs the Brangwyn in partnership with appointed caterers, JR Catering and Events.
Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, the council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “The Brangwyn Hall was expertly restored as part of an overall refurbishment of the Guildhall a few years ago, and we remain as dedicated as ever to ensuring the events programme and quality of the visitor experience there is befitting of the world class setting. Receiving the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the second consecutive year shows we’re very much on the right track, so all council and JR Catering and Events staff involved in the day to day running, promotion and management of the Brangwyn Hall deserve enormous credit.
“The challenge now is to keep raising the bar to help further reinforce the Brangwyn as a top quality venue for concerts, exhibitions, conferences and other events. It’s a challenge we’re determined to meet.”
Jessica Rice, of JR Catering and Events, said: “Having worked tirelessly over the last 12 months on a calendar of exciting and innovative events, it’s the ultimate reward to once again be recognised by our customers. The venue is without doubt one of the finest in the country, and one that we’re incredibly proud to be so closely associated with.”
The Welsh National Wedding Fayre, Katherine Jenkins and Elaine Page are among the events and performers confirmed for the Brangwyn over coming months.
