Tickets are on sale now for a super summer evening of spectacular music from the scintillating Symphonica Tywi taking place on June 18 at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

‘Summer Stories’ is the theme of the orchestra’s 15th annual Garden concert, with a programme of love and celebration through orchestral music.

Expect plenty of film and show music plus Shakespeare anniversary overtones and hints of royal celebrations, too.

This annual jewel in the Garden’s calendar will see a welcome return of the fabulous 45-piece orchestra, which encourages full audience participation. The event promises some full-flavour classics that will suit all tastes, including many well-known and much-loved music from the movies.

National Botanic Garden spokesman, David Hardy said: “It’s always a wonderful occasion. People bring along picnic hampers and really make a night of it. In truth, there’s not much to beat sitting in among the Mediterranean plantings as the sun goes down, listening to this fantastic orchestra play their beautiful music.”

Bring your picnic and your Welsh flags and celebrate a midsummer’s night to remember; Saturday 18th June from 7.30pm until dusk.

Tickets are £12 (£10 for Garden members). Book yours by calling 01558 667149.

The National Botanic Garden of Wales is a registered charity, partly funded by the Welsh Government and Carmarthenshire County Council.
