A rainbow flag has been lowered to half-mast on Ceredigion County Council’s Penmorfa building to honour the victims of the attack in the state of Florida.
The tribute follows the shooting at a gay nightclub where 50 people were killed at the Pulse venue in Orlando in the early hours of Sunday (12 June) morning. Another 53 people were injured in the shooting, which police have described it as an act of terrorism.
Leader of Ceredigion County Council, Councillor Ellen ap Gwynn, said: “This is our tribute to the victims of the atrocious events in America, and we would just like show our sympathy towards all those who have lost friends, family members and loved ones in this horrific attack.”
