With the last game against Cardiff City ended in a draw for our reserves everyone understood it would be a difficult game in the Welsh conference. With the raiders reserves deciding to field 4 debutants and 4 under 17s it would be a great test for them all against our partnered club who were on a good run in the league.
It began with the raiders reserves on the attack and from the first set Archie Snook found himself with a gap to score to the left of the post, pivot Aaron Lewis added the two points, from the kick off Cardiff put pressure on the raiders reserves to make a mistake in their own half, from a Cardiff scrum they went through their set and on the last tackle hooker Kyle Kyle Rose managed to find a gap and dived over from close range,Bradley Williams added the conversion. In a frantic last 20 minutes both pivots scored two tries each and only another individual try from Archie Snook made the difference going in at half time.
