Exotic eastern flavours are on the menu in West Wales when Tashkezar play at the National Botanic Garden of Wales on Sunday July 17.

Tashkezar present a refreshing and groovy retelling of songs from the wild steppes of Eastern Europe, rhythms from the deserts of Eastern Arabia and harmonies inspired by the trade winds blowing to East Africa.

This London-based band weaves melodic tapestries and vocal harmonies into complex percussion featuring Turkish tambourine, darbuka and cajon, plus bazouki, violin, guitars and vocals.

Join Tashkezar for a warming and energetic performance, transporting the flavour of four continents to Lord Foster’s mediterannean Great Glasshouse at 12noon, 1.30 and 2.30.

The Garden is open from 10am to 6pm seven days a week, with last entry at 5pm.

Entry is FREE for Garden members and parking is FREE for all.
