Bridgend Blue Bulls overcame a weakened West Wales Raiders side who were depleted by injuries, with their misfortune continuing through the game.
The Llanelli-based side arrived in Pyle with a bare 13 players and when they were eventually permanently reduced to nine for the evening, the game was brought to a halt with both sides agreeing that the score would stand.
Bridgend were good for their win. They hit their angles hard, their passes were crisp and tackles were furious.
Referee, Bianca Zietsman was also given credit for the way she handled the game with Bridgend team manager Stephen Smith describing her as “one of the best this season, she did really well.”
Lewis Morgan led the way for Bridgend with a hat-trick of tries with Dan Forrester adding a brace. Luke O’Driscoll, Nicky Giles, Lee Harben-Jones and Nicky Giles also went over. Gareth Howells kicked six goals.
Iwan Mayze and Tony Reese replied with tries for West Wales with Taylor Phillips converting once.
