Work to clear the gutters and clean the glass canopies will start on Sunday, July 24.
The works will continue after 5pm on week days from July 27 to July 30 and will finish on Sunday, July 31.
They are being carried out during less busy times when there are fewer people in the town centre to help keep disruption to a minimum.
Executive Board Member for the Environment Cllr Hazel Evans said: “Keeping the county clean is important to residents and is one of the council’s top priorities.
“The canopies are cleaned twice a year; during the summer and before Christmas, as these are busy periods with an increase in visitors to the town and it is important we give a good impression.
“The works are necessary and hopefully we will avoid causing too much disruption as the majority of shops will be closed.”
