The inaugural Welsh Counties Senior Team Championship will be held at Ashburnham Golf Club on 18th and 19th September this year and will have the prizes (below) for both the stroke play and stableford Team and Individual Champions. This event is followed on the 20th September by the Senior Home International Golf Championship involving Wales, Scotland, Ireland and England and is starting nearby at Machynys Golf Club (this event is run separately by the Golf Union of Wales).
The eight teams for the Welsh Counties Championship, consist of 6 players all 55 years of age or older and represent the following areas of Wales.
Glamorgan, Dyfed, Gwent, Brecon & Radnor, Denbighshire, North West Wales, North East Wales and Montgomeryshire.
The Championship is for both Medal (Stroke play) Champions and Stableford Champions in both Team and individual.
