Designed by pupils Madison Williams and Rhodri Davies, the posters will be put up in the local community to encourage people to put their dog mess in the bin.
The school is working with the council to encourage dog owners to behave more responsibly and pupils were asked to design posters to warn people of the consequences of dog fouling.
Environmental enforcement officers are stepping up patrols in the area and anyone caught failing to clean up after their dog can be fined.
Both Madison and Rhodri received a certificate and a goody bag for their efforts.
Local member and chairman of the Governors Cllr Anthony Jones said: “All the pupils contributed to creating posters and were keen to express the message; dog fouling is a health risk. I would like to thank all the staff and pupils and local businesses who are supporting by advertising the winning posters by Madison Williams and Rhodri Davies. Well done.”
Executive Board Member for Environmental and Public Protection Cllr Jim Jones said: “There was a tremendous response from the pupils, with some imaginative and colourful posters.
“Hopefully by working with the school to raise awareness in the community we can reduce the problem of dog fouling and clean up the streets.
“As well as being very unpleasant if you step in it, the health risks associated with dog mess can be extremely serious.
“Our enforcement officers will continue to patrol the area.”
