Speaking ahead of Jeremy Corbyn and Owen Smith’s debate in Cardiff, as part of the on-going Labour Party leadership contest, Welsh Conservative leader Andrew RT Davies said:

“Whilst Labour continue their open, and very public, civil war, Conservatives are continuing to work, and deliver, for the people of Wales and the rest of the UK.

“Our new Prime Minister is working to govern for the whole of the United Kingdom. As Corbyn and Smith squabble, Theresa May is hosting a roundtable meeting of SMEs and seeking to build an economy that works for everyone, not just the privileged few.

“With the people of Wales governed from Cathays Park by a deeply divided Party, Welsh Conservatives remain steadfast – we will hold the Welsh Government to account, and work closely with the UK Government, to ensure a Wales that works for everyone.”
