Saturday saw the return of Llanelli LGBT Day to Llanelli Town Centre in Spring Gardens, and for once, the sun shone and the rain kept away.
CETMA, a volunteer led social enterprise based in Llanelli organises Llanelli LGBT Day via their Awards for All Wales grant funded Llanelli LGBT Support Project.
Llanelli LGBT support involves engaging with the LGBT community, increasing volunteers and training people in new skills.
Jonathan Williams, CETMA Managing Director said:
“It was a great day for LGBT Equality in Llanelli. It was nice to see so many people and organisations coming together to promote the same message.”
“It was such a success that we’ll do it again next year!”
Music was provided on the day by The Fighting Fifth Husky and The Big Fat Blues band, and RED Total Fitness provided a Zumba demonstration. There was also an appearance by The Minions which all the young children in attendance loved.
Keith Evans, CETMA Manager said:
“Personal thanks go to Owen’s Transport for the stage, The Fighting Huskies and The Big Fat Blues Band, Cariad for providing First Aid cover, ADJ Entertainments, Plusons mobile catering, RED Total Fitness, all the speakers, Communities First for doing children’s activities and all the organisations who attended on the day!”
“We’d also like to thank Carmarthenshire County Council for providing the venue and for all the help they gave.”
“If anyone wants to get involved in organising next year’s event, then please contact us.”
