CYCLING fans can step up a gear with top of the range spin bikes at Carmarthen Leisure Centre.

The centre in Johnstown has taken delivery of brand new Lifecycle GX spin bikes which have the most in demand features and a bold rear flywheel design.

The resistance is displayed on the console so that users do not need to guess at the resistance level and can adjust it easily from workout to workout.

A touch screen computer offers continued workout feedback on speed, calories, cadence, and heart rate offering an all-round cardiovascular and conditioning results.

The bikes are biometrically designed and user-tested, and are suitable for people of all fitness levels from beginners to advanced users.

Leisure executive board member Cllr Meryl Gravell said the bikes offered a top-notch, indoor cycling experience.

“People can have fun, burn more calories and take advantage of this top of the range equipment at Carmarthen Leisure Centre.

“This is one of the investments being made in the centre to improve the experience for our customers.”

The new bikes follow the installation of a revolutionary SYNRGY360 purpose-built training facility which was launched recently.

The SYNRGY360 features in a stand-alone room enabling it to be a session in itself, making it unique to the county.

Some of the equipment includes batten ropes, cables, bands, TRX suspension training, punch bags, a rebounder, kettle bells and more.
