Well I finally went to see the new Suicide Squad movie this week, and I’m happy to write that it was worth every single penny… or in my case, every single Odeon Club Card Point! I had been a little skeptical on how it was going to play out for quite a while and it just completely blew me away. The only two things I already knew were going to be just absolutely amazing were Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and will Smith as Deadshot. It is now as I write this I realize that’s three things… anyway!

Suicide Squad, Review by Adam RobertsAs I knew, Deadshot would be the first character in the opening scene, and it did NOT disappoint. Seeing him thrash away at his homemade punch bag, giving the guard attitude and all that, Will Smith I say without a doubt deserves to receive an award for this very complex character who is (not only a freakishly accurate contract killer) but who is also a divorced father that wants full custody of, and financial security for his daughter and would do absolutely anything to keep her out of harm’s way, and yet this is a guy who kills people for a living, talk about Irony people!

Now as for Margot Robbie, I think this is possibly the role of her life. With her mix of absolute insanity and hotness… is just SO mind-blowing it’s hard to put it into words of how amazing she is. I’ll say one thing though… she’s a lot crazier that The Joker.

And speaking of The Joker, ‘’what a performance’’ I used to think Heath Ledger was the best Joker EVER, (and now I’ve seen Jared Leto as The Clowned Crime Lord) this is without a doubt a Joker I can sink my teeth into.

Now Enchantress aka June Moon played by Cara Delevingne in this film, I thought it was going to go a totally different direction. I thought she was going to be part of the Suicide Squad team, (I had no clue she was going to be dating Rick Flag played by Joel Kinnaman who was completely awesome by the way) I also NEVER thought enchantress’s brother Incubus was going to be in the story… he’s like a kinda big eight foot tall flame dude.

All in all it was really enjoyable, highly recommended.
