Welsh potatoes and vegetables will soon be on the menu for the Scarlets Rugby Team, after Welsh fresh produce brand Blas y Tir confirms a sponsorship deal with the Llanelli-based squad.
Blas y Tir, meaning âtaste of the landâ will support the Scarlets throughout their GUINNESS PRO12 season, providing the team with quality Welsh potatoes and vegetables from Pembrokeshire.
âWe all know itâs important that athletes eat right, and weâre pleased to be able to supply local produce to the team, fuelling them with the tasty Welsh produce we have all become accustomed toâ explains Huw from Blas y Tir.
âWe already support lots of local youth teams, and are keen to pass the message of good nutrition on to them and inspire the next generationâ.
Members of the Scarlets team are present at Blas y Tirâs stand at the Pembrokeshire County Show today!
Scarlets Commercial Manager Rhys Thomas added; âWe are delighted to welcome Blas y Tir to the Scarlets family and are looking forward to working with them closely over the coming months.â
Scarlets take on Munster at Parc y Scarlets in the opening game of the GUINNESS PRO12 campaign on Saturday 3rd September, kick-off 3pm.
