FRANK HENNESSY TO BE 50+ SPECIAL GUEST

Folk singer and Radio Wales presenter Frank Hennessy will be the special guest at the Carmarthenshire 50+ Forum Annual Event next month.

The free event, given the theme ‘Because Life is for Living’, is an opportunity to celebrate the creativity and contribution of older people.

It will be held at the National Botanic Garden of Wales on Friday September 16 from 10am-4pm.

There will be information stalls for more than 40 organisations, and a range of free taster sessions, from reflexology to indoor bowls.

Frank Hennessy will speak and perform some songs. The other speakers will include Older People’s Commissioner Sarah Rochira, Future Generations Commissioner Sophie Howe, Carmarthenshire County Council 50+ Champion and executive board member for social care and health Cllr Jane Tremlett, and Carmarthenshire Older People’s Champion and executive board member for housing Cllr Linda Evans.

There is free admission for 50+ Forum members upon presentation of a membership card. If you are not a member or have lost your membership card you can register for free on the day.
