CETMA are pleased to announce that they have £8000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for their Llanelli and the Great War project.
Awarded through HLF’s First World War then and now programme, the project will focus on gathering as much information on Llanelli’s (and district) role in the War and publishing online for future generations to learn from.
Jonathan Williams, Managing Director of CETMA said:
“This is a very important project for us. It’s a big thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund that we are able to undertake this mammoth task.”
“Not much appears online about Llanelli’s contribution to the war effort, so we aim to work with any organisation, individual or business to achieve the projects aims.”
Volunteers are required for the project too, so if you have an interest, please get in touch.
The public are asked to contribute with family stories, pictures or any WW1 related items they have. They items will be returned to them.
