“In principle we’re supportive‎ of the efforts to cut the number of MPs but Wales should not disproportionately lose out. Under these proposals, it’s clear that our nation will have less of a voice because we’d be more outnumbered than we are at present. We therefore oppose these changes.

“Westminster is currently still responsible for some major policy areas which affect our communities everyday. A weaker voice for Wales would result in even greater control for what is fast becoming a broken system in Westminster.

“A cut in Welsh representation must therefore be balanced by a full transfer of those major policy areas to Wales.

‎”Proposed constituencies should reflect the geographical, community links and identities within their bounds.‎ It’s disappointing from observing the proposed boundary for the Llanelli Constituency that the Commission has obviously not taken this into account.‎”
