The Neath Food and Drink Festival will shortly be arriving in Neath Town Centre.

The Festival is just one of a fantastic programme of events held in the town throughout the year, including the historic Neath Fair, the Real Ale and Cider Festival and many more. The event highlights the fantastic variety of high quality Welsh produce that is available locally and the range of products available from award winning suppliers in the town’s Victorian Market and surrounding area.

Neath Food and Drink Festival has grown in popularity since it was first held in 2009 and for the first time in 2015 was extended to three days. This proved to be such a success that this year visitors to Neath will again enjoy a three day Festival from Friday 30th September to Sunday 2nd October.

As well as the many traders, there will be a street food zone in Angel Square with the now traditional hay bales to sit on of course! The very popular Champagne Tent in the grounds of St Thomas’ Church and a Real Ale Hall in the Old Town Hall will also make a welcome return.  There is much more to the Festival than street trading, as the event encourages the entire town to get involved and as always there will be local businesses providing live music and themed menus and much more in many venues throughout the town.

Organised by Neath Port Talbot Council with the support of local businesses and community organisations, the event has been praised for the benefits that it brings to the town , raising the profile of the area as a whole and bringing  new and repeat visitors to Neath.

Council Leader Ali Thomas OBE said: “I would like to thank the organisers for the brilliant job they do on this event.  I’m sure resident of and visitors to Neath will enjoy the Festival and will again turn out in large numbers to support it.  I look forward to the event and to seeing the varied produce on display.

“This event has been made successful thanks to the generous support shown by local business and most of all local residents.  I am certain that this years festival will be another resounding success and will help showcase what Neath has to offer.”
