Ceredigion achieves excellent positive recycling performance rates, according to recent Local Environmental Audit Management System (LEAMS) survey results for 2016-17.
The local environment is much valued and appreciated by the vast majority of residents and visitors to Ceredigion, and Ceredigion County Council is asking everyone to continue their good work over the coming months.
Councillor Alun Williams, Cabinet Member for Environmental Services, Assets, Transport and Carbon Management, said: āResidents and visitors have played their part in this success to date, which supports the efforts and work undertaken by the Authority and others in keeping Ceredigion clean and tidy. We all need to keep up this excellent work, to ensure the county looks its best.ā
The LEAMS surveys also incorporates the cleanliness of Ceredigionās beaches and supports awards such as the Blue Flag, Green Coast and Seaside Awards.
Everyone can play their part in maintaining and improving the local environment and showing their appreciation for Ceredigion by:
ā¢Ā reducing, reusing or recycling as much of their waste as possible.
ā¢Ā putting their waste out on the right day and in an appropriate container.
ā¢Ā using litter bins and / or taking their litter home with them.
ā¢Ā making proper use of services and facilities available to them such as Waste Collection Services (including Domestic, Commercial,Ā Bulky Household and Garden Waste collections) and Household Waste Sites.
ā¢Ā cleaning up after their dog.
