Crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers recruits first Wales based Regional Manager

Charity Crimestoppers has recruited a new crime-fighter for Wales with the appointment of the area’s first regional manager.

Ella Rabaiotti joins the organisation having been embedded in the criminal justice system for 15 years, working as a senior Probation Officer, and is also former Assistant Chief Executive at Wales Community Rehabilitation Company.

Her previous roles include providing strategic and governance support as Staff Officer to the Chief Executive of Wales Probation, before helping to establish Wales Community Rehabilitation Company, as its Head of Dyfed Powys, where her leadership skills were recognised in the finals of the Leading Wales Awards 2015.

Ella’s role, supported through three Police forces in Wales – Dyfed Powys, South Wales and Gwent – will help to promote Crimestoppers in Wales, as well as supporting campaigns and community engagement.

Ella said: “I am delighted to be able to progress the valuable work of Crimestoppers in Wales, which provides a vehicle for anonymous reporting to help detect and reduce crime.

“The charity also helps tackle hidden crime that affects the most vulnerable in society through supporting campaigns against crimes such as modern day slavery and child sexual exploitation.

“I hope through my new role, Crimestoppers can play a stronger role in South Wales in addressing harm, fewer victims and safer communities.”

Anyone with information on crime in Wales can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through the anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
