It’s An Act present the comedy drama ‘Two’ by Jim Cartwright set in a working class pub in the South Wales valleys in Theatr Felinfach on Thursday 13 October 2016.
The play famously features 14 diverse characters played by just two actors, Jack Llewellyn and Clare-Anna Mitchell. It centres around an action packed night in a pub, and various members of the local community pull up a stool and let us into their lives.
Written in 1989 but still astonishingly real today, this much performed yet no less loved two-hander by the celebrated Lancastrian playwright steers the audience through a spectrum of human emotion, weaving a rich tapestry of life in a working class town in the South Wales valleys through intimate insights into the lives of the colourful pub regulars.
It’s main characters are the Landlord and Landlady and their painful story slowly unfolds throughout the evening interlaced with a variety of characters each affected by another specific character. At extremes with each other; he the hands on money-in-till manager, she the gossipy heart of the bar, their façade ultimately cracks when a young boy in search of his missing dad appears and they are forced to face the loss of their child years before.
Throughout the play you will meet a range of different characters that change the pace of the play, taking you on a rollercoaster ride of emotional highs and lows.
‘Two’ is produced by It’s An Act and will show at Theatr Felinfach on Thursday 13 October at 7:30pm. For more information and to book tickets, visit www.theatrfelinfach.wales or contact the Box Office on 01570
