A Pembrokeshire Leisure Centre has scored highly in a national quality assessment scheme.

Haverfordwest Leisure Centre was rated ‘Excellent’ by Quest independent assessors.

Quest – The UK Quality scheme for sport and leisure – is designed by the industry for the industry to help leisure teams improve the quality of service they provide to customers.

Over the last year, the Centre has been subject to several mystery visits and been rigorously assessed over two days in aspects of leisure management.

In particular the assessor highlighted the Centre’s Team and Skill Development, Cleaning, Safeguarding, Climbing, Health & Safety Management and Environmental Management which all scored Excellent.

Sian Fair, Centre Manager, said the high score is a fantastic achievement and the result of a real team effort.

“Quest is much more than a tick box exercise; it is an ongoing programme to improve our facility for both staff and customers, and a great way to demonstrate our achievements”, she said.

Cllr Elwyn Morse congratulated the staff at Haverfordwest Leisure Centre on achieving the award. “Given the hard work that went into achieving the award, this is a great accolade for the team and well deserved,” he said.
