A fun and festive follow up to last years successful Christmas campaign

Following on from A Pugs Christmas, which amassed over 8,000 shares on Facebook in 2015, Vision Direct’s new campaign builds on the themes of fun, surprise and warmth that were well received by its audience last year. Ashley Mealor, Vision Direct’s Chief Marketing Officer, comments:

We are so excited to reveal our brand new Christmas Campaign for 2016, Gizmo Saves Christmas. For our first Christmas ad last year to be mentioned alongside the likes of John Lewis and Sainsburys was phenomenal. We knew we had to bring Gizmo back this year and make the new campaign even more fun, playful and exciting for our audience. We hope you love it as much as we do.

As well as introducing its brand to a wider audience with the campaign, Vision Direct seeks to highlight its position as the UK’s first and longest running online only contact lenses retailer and to introduce its new range of prescription glasses, which are available from only £19.99 including lenses. The glasses Gizmo is wearing are available for purchase on Vision Direct’s website.

Bespoke Film and Communications; the agency who have worked on our Christmas campaign for the second year running, produced, directed and filmed ‘Gizmo Saves Christmas’ over two days in a studio environment with an elaborate set build. Sam Orams, Chief Creative Officer, commented:

“This is our second Christmasadventure with Gizmo and this year we are delighted to be able to introduce his rival Cuddles, the cat from across the street. With the perfect foil in place the scene is set for some festive competition in a story which is ultimately about caring for others, a value close to the heart of the Vision Direct brand.”

The campaign runs from 29thNovember 2016 throughout the festive period and can be viewed on Vision Direct’s Facebook or YouTube channels, or by visiting the website, VisionDirect.co.uk/gizmo-saves-christmas .
