As Plaid Cymru launch their General Election campaign today, the leader of the Welsh Conservatives has launched a withering attack on the nationalists, calling on Plaid to “accept responsibility” for many of the problems Wales sees today by repeatedly propping up Labour in the National Assembly.

Andrew RT Davies said:

“Plaid Cymru and its undisguised ambition to smash up the United Kingdom poses the biggest threat to Wales’ future.

“After successive coalitions with Labour, Plaid Cymru has shown that it cannot be trusted to make a positive impact to the lives of ordinary people.

“As such, it must accept responsibility for many of the problems Wales sees today from its underperforming economy to its ailing public services.

“The choice for Wales on 8 June is clear: between the strong and stable leadership of Theresa May’s Conservative team, or a coalition of chaos and instability led by Jeremy Corbyn.”
