One of Wales’s best loved singers is holding a special ABC of Opera Family Workshop Day as part of the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Fringe festival.
Mark Llewellyn Evans has been busy touring schools throughout Wales with his ABC of Opera workshops.
On Saturday (June 17), at the Weston Studio (1-4pm) at the Wales Millennium Centre, he will be hosting a free workshop.
Mark said: “As part of BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Fringe, we are proud to spin the globe with the ABC of Opera family workshop day!
“For one day only, this children’s workshop is being offered to the whole family.
“It’s a fun, frivolous, frolicsome adventure for boys and girls, mums and dads, aunts, uncles and cousins, too. Turn the key and open the trunk of treasures to discover the magic of a 500-year-old story, and find out how it all began in the land of pizza and pasta.
“Learn about luckless Lully, flatulent Mozart and bootless Bizet.
“Come to an exciting, engaging and interactive discovery of the world of opera alongside our professional opera singers as we unfold the tales of Don Giovanni, Violetta, Papageno, Angelina, the Barber of Seville and so much more.”
Tickets and information can be obtained from the Wales Millennium Centre, 029 2063 6464 |wmc.org.uk
