A South and West Wales Select side will take on Midlands Hurricanes at under 17 level at Stebonheath Park on Saturday (kick-off 1pm).
The line-up will consist of players from the existing South Wales Ironmen under 17 side, the West Wales Raiders under 17s and other players from the South Wales junior leagues.
South Wales Ironmen under 17s are unbeaten this year, winning away in Keighley and at home to Republic of Ireland Eagles.
This Thursday, there will be an open session for all players in the under 17s category to train from 7pm-8.30pm at The Wern in Merthyr Tydfil, home of South Wales Ironmen.
This session will be to select the squad to face the Midlands Academy. under 17’s this Saturday.

The under 17s encounter is part of a big day out at Stebonheath which starts at 8.30am where fans of both rugby codes are invited to arrive early to watch the third match of the New Zealand v Great Britain and Ireland series.
Then at 11am, West Wales Raiders’ under 13s clash with Torfaen Tigers. The Premier League clash between the Raiders and Tigers follows the under 17 game. That kicks off at 3pm.
The day will then conclude as it started with live rugby action in the bar, with the Super League clash between Catalans Dragons v Wigan Warriors being shown (kick-off 5pm).
