A FREE event organisers surgery will be taking place at Newcastle Emlyn Leisure Centre on Thursday July 20 between 9am and 1pm.
The surgery is open to organisers of any event who may have queries or issues that they need assistance with from Carmarthenshire County Council.
The initiative, which is part of a £57,000 pilot scheme, has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 (RDP),
which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government. This particular project supports key priorities under the Welsh Government Strategy for Tourism 2013 – 2020 “Partnership for Growth”.
The project also features seminars and a dedicated web portal aimed at helping event organisers improve and grow their events.
Cllr Peter Hughes Griffiths, Executive Board Member for Culture, Sport & Tourism, said: “Our county’s events do a huge amount for the economy and community spirit of the area
“The event organisers we have within our towns, villages and communities are doing an important job and we aim to support them as much as we can by engaging and communicating with them.
We hope our seminars and surgeries help us to achieve this”.
