Sue Phelps, Director of Alzheimer’s Society Cymru said: “_There is
still a lot of work that needs to be done to educate the public about
dementia and risk factors. Dementia is not an inevitable part of
ageing. It is possible to reduce your risk of dementia – something
that over half of respondents to the survey understood. It’s
encouraging that 64% of respondents in the most recent wave of the
survey recognised the benefits of exercise – hopefully some of those
people will consider uniting against dementia by taking part in our
Memory Walk events this autumn; register now at memorywalk.org.uk to
find a walk near you._”
