They’ve been a long time coming, but European Rugby have finally revealed the dates for next season’s Champions Cup. Exact dates for the first four rounds have been confirmed, with the confirmation of the remaining rounds coming in December after Round 4 has been played.
The Scarlets face a tough opening to the competition, with new signing Leigh Halfpenny returning to his former club, Toulon, far earlier than he anticipated. The opening game will take place on Sunday, October 15th 2017 at the Stade Felix Mayol, with a 4.15pm kick-off (local time).
Just 5 days later on Friday, October 20th 2017, the Scarlets play host to Bath Rugby as Rhys Priestland makes a welcome return to his former club for the 7.45pm evening kick-off.
The home and away double header in December will see Treviso visit Parc y Scarlets on Saturday, December 9th 2017, kick-off 1.00pm, before the Scarlets make the away journey to the Stadio Comunale di Monigo the follow Saturday, December 16th 2017, for the away leg. Kick-off is at 2.00pm local time.
Round 5 will be played the weekend of 12/13/14 January 2018 with the Scarlets travelling to the Recreation Ground to face Bath before Toulon visit Parc y Scarlets the weekend of 19/20/21st January 2018 for the final group stage of the competition.
This season’s Quarter Finals will be played the weekend of 29/30/31 March, 1st April with the Semi Finals between 20th – 22nd April 2018.
The Final will take place at the San Mames Stadium and will be played on Saturday, May 12th 2018
