A volunteer programme at Margam Country Park is recruiting!

The programme, run by Neath Port Talbot Council and supported by funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, is asking with help to conserve, enhance and promote the park’s historical and natural features. Volunteer roles include gardeners and tour guides.

Volunteers will be based in the scenic, historic area of the park which is a perfect backdrop for those wanting to do something different, make new friends, be outdoors and to have fun. Mentored and supervised by park staff, volunteers can develop new skills through ‘on the job’ and formal training.

Margam Country Park boasts a range of historical connections and buildings. The Grade I listed Margam Castle with ornamental gardens, Grade II listed Citrus House and 18th Century Orangery. Set within almost 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside and voted the nation’s favourite park in the Green Flag ‘National People’s Choice Award’, the park has a lot to offer both visitors and volunteers.
