Cycle Track problems in Bynea raised by Community Councillor, Ian Wooldridge.

After being contacted by a number of residents in Bynea Ward, Ian Wooldridge, Llanelli Rural Councillor has highlighted some of the concerns within the community.

These include;

1. Yspitty Road residents have complained of indiscriminate parking of cars by visitors using the cycle path. There is a free car park, although the sign on site implies that payment is required.

2. There is a need for more bins for general and dog waste to be provided.

3. There is a need for a gate at the entrance to this park to prevent any anti social behaviour at night.

4. General improvements are needed to the cycle path for users both pedestrians and cyclists. Also the wooden bridges are in need of urgent repair and maintenance.

While some of the wooden benches along the track have been removed or damaged.

5. Residents are concerned that there have been instances regarding cars using the cycle path, a very dangerous situation.

6. Graffiti is a growing problem on the blue bridge as well as on the misleading car park sign.

Councillor Wooldridge is calling for these matters to be resolved and will be updating residents on the progress being made.

Any residents who wish to raise additional matters with Ian are very welcome to contact him on 07531615922 or ianwooldridge2016@yahoo.co.uk
