Nott Square planters

NEW planters are being placed in Carmarthen’s Nott Square to brighten the area and help alleviate parking concerns in the vicinity.
The council’s highways and transport department is looking at several ways to help support and improve the general amenity of Nott Square to provide for the safety of shoppers and goods vehicles undertaking deliveries.

Full council has recently agreed to ask the Welsh Government for more powers to deal with moving traffic offences.

Cllr Hazel Evans, executive board member for transport, said: “The planters in Nott Square will not only help prevent cars from parking illegally but will also add to the visual appearance of the square. We have listened to the concerns of businesses and members of the public.”
