Toby Carvery Cockleshell is pledging its support to local charity,
Friends of Stepping Stones, after the restaurant reopened on Saturday
14th October following an extensive remodel. The carvery and its staff
are planning a host of fundraising events and activities in the
upcoming months, and are aiming to raise money and awareness for a
great cause.
The Gorseinon Toby Carvery celebrated its local charity commitments
by inviting Treasurer of the Friends of Stepping Stones Charity,
Gerwyn Tumelty, to officially reopen the new look restaurant, making
him guest of honour at a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony. The
celebration comes after a year of charity success for the South-West
Wales carvery, during which they’ve raised more than £400 for the
support service.
Located on Heol-Y-Mynydd, the refreshed Toby Carvery resumed serving
roasts to diners after an extensive two-week refurbishment Following
a significant investment in the restaurant eight new jobs have been
created for the local area.
Commenting on the restaurant’s new look, Toby Carvery
Cockleshell’s general manager, Sam Nicoll, said: “We’re so
pleased at how brilliant Toby Carvery Cockleshell looks following the
refurbishment, and we were thrilled to have had Gerywn from Friends of
Stepping Stones cut the ceremonial ribbon for us.
“Friends of Stepping Stones is such a great charity, and the work
they do to help children with disabilities learn and take part in fun,
exciting activities is brilliant to see. They’re such an integral
part of the local community and we’re really excited to get stuck in
and support them.
“For many, the great British roast is the ultimate heart-warming
food, and we just can’t wait to serve the people of Gorseinon and
the surrounding area a traditional dinner in our fresh surroundings.
With our specially trained chefs, friendly and attentive team, and our
warm and welcoming atmosphere, guests will find their new look Toby
Carvery is the perfect place to get together and enjoy a delicious
roast dinner.
The restaurant offers a family-sized feast of four low and
slow-roasted carvery joints freshly cooked everyday alongside eight
types of seasonal veg including roasties, mash and the full monty of
