NSPCC statement on allegations of child sexual abuse on Caldey Island
Commenting on allegations of child sexual abuse on Caldey Island, and NSPCC Cymru / Wales spokesman said: “This case highlights once again how it is vital that victims of child abuse have the confidence to come forward and seek justice or redress for crimes committed against them in the past.
“Many people who have suffered sexual abuse as a child do not reveal their ordeal at the time. Abuse can have catastrophic and lifelong effects so it is important that victims are able to access support and help when they disclose what happened to them.”
