Real reindeer and Santa’s woodland cabin at Pembrey Country Park
RUDOLPH and his reindeer friends have landed at Pembrey Country Park to help Father Christmas prepare for a busy festive season.
Families will be able to visit Santa in his woodland log cabin and help him feed his real reindeer during a traditional Christmas fayre at the park on Sunday, December 3.
A craft and gift marquee will also be there for people to pick up gifts for friends and family, and there will be carol singing to get everyone in the festive spirit.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s senior outdoor recreation manager Neil Thomas said he hoped the fayre will bring hundreds of people into the park.
“We are continuing to build our range of events and are pleased to be bringing a traditional festive event to Pembrey Country Park in the run-up to Christmas,” he said.
“Father Christmas will be present in a log cabin in our woods and children can visit him and watch him feed his real reindeer during the afternoon.
“Pembrey Country Park and Cefn Sidan Beach is a beautiful place to explore on a crisp winter’s day, and this event will bring an added touch of Christmas spirit.”
The event will run from 10am-3.30pm on Sunday December 3. Reindeer feeding with Father Christmas takes place at 12pm and 2pm.
Entry to the event is free, with parking at £2 per car at the gate for non-season ticket holders.
Visits to Santa’s cabin are £5 with a gift for every child, but must be booked in advance at the Visitor Centre – call 01554 742424.
A few places remain for stallholders – email ORTevents@carmarthenshire.gov.uk or call 01554 742368 for further information.
