Cllr Linda Evans

Cllr Linda Evans, executive board member for housing, said: “Our officers have been working alongside emergency services at the scene and have supported tenants and residents at the flats and neighbouring properties during the evacuation. Crews now have the situation under control, and our officers continue to be on hand to offer support to anyone who is not able to return home this evening, although we understand that the majority have already found alternative temporary accommodation. We will of course continue to support them in the next few days. I’d like to thank the emergency services and all those who have helped at the scene.”

Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Linda Evans, yr Aelod o’r Bwrdd Gweithredol dros Dai, “Mae ein swyddogion wedi bod yn gweithio ochr yn ochr â’r gwasanaethau brys yn y lleoliad ac wedi rhoi cymorth i denantiaid a phreswylwyr yn y fflatiau a’r eiddo cyfagos yn ystod y broses o gael pobl allan o’r adeilad. Mae’r criwiau bellach wedi cael y sefyllfa o dan reolaeth, a mae ein swyddogion yn parhau i fod wrth law i gynnig cymorth i unrhyw un nad yw’n gallu dychwelyd adref heno, er rydym yn deall bod y mwyafrif eisoes wedi dod o hyd i lety arall dros drwrth gwrs yn parhau icefnogi yn ystod y diwrnodau nesaf. Rwyf am ddiolch i’r gwasanaethau brys ac i bawb sydd wedi darparu cymorth yn y fan a’r lle.”
