Charity Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information on a gang of masked burglars who broke into a couple’s home and threatened them with weapons.
The terrifying incident occurred at around 8pm at a property on The Highway in Croesyceiliog on Thursday 16th November.
The male and female occupants were in their kitchen when a group of five or six men broke into their home and demanded money.
The men took cash before driving away in the direction of the M4 east bound in a blue Audi.
The male victim was taken to hospital after suffering injuries and bruising to his shoulder and face.
The culprits all had their faces covered and were wearing dark clothing however one of the men wore a navy jacket with a distinctive silver or white letter ‘W’ on the chest.
A reward of up to £5,000 is being offered for information given to the Crimestoppers charity that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this burglary.
Ella Rabaiotti, Crimestoppers Wales Manager, said: “The victims have gone through a truly terrifying ordeal in the one place that they should be allowed to feel safe – their home.
“I cannot imagine the fear they must have had and I would ask that anyone who might have information on the group responsible for this crime to contact us anonymously.
“We won’t judge, ask any of your personal details or make you speak to anyone other than ourselves. We’ll take your information and pass it onto the police, and then you’re done.”

Digwyddodd y lladrad brawychus hwn tua 8pm mewn eiddo ar The Highway yng Nghroesyceiliog ar ddydd Iau 16eg Tachwedd.
Roedd y preswylwyr, gwryw a benyw, yn eu cegin pan dorrodd pump neu chwech o ddynion i mewn i’w cartref a mynnu arian.
Cymerodd y dynion arian parod cyn gyrru i ffwrdd i gyfeiriad y dwyrain ar yr M4 mewn Audi glas.
Aethpwyd â’r dioddefwr gwrywaidd i’r ysbyty ar ôl iddo ddioddef anafiadau a chleisiau i’w ysgwydd a’i wyneb.
Roedd wynebau’r tramgwyddwyr wedi’u gorchuddio ac roeddent yn gwisgo dillad tywyll ond roedd un o’r dynion yn gwisgo siaced glas tywyll gyda llythyren ‘W’ dynodiadol mewn gwyn neu arian ar y frest.
Cynigir tâl o hyd at £5,000 gan yr elusen Crimestoppers am wybodaeth sy’n arwain at arestio ac euogfarnu’r rhai a oedd yn gyfrifol am y lladrad hwn.
