Cofiwch – bydd diwrnodau casglu biniau yn newid dros gyfnod y Nadolig
Mae trigolion yn Sir Gaerfyrddin yn cael eu hatgoffa y bydd newidiadau i’r casgliadau sbwriel/deunyddiau ailgylchu dros gyfnod y Nadolig.
Bydd y casgliadau fel a ganlyn:
Diwrnod Casglu Arferol | Diwrnod Casglu Arfaethedig
Dydd Llun | 25 Rhagfyr | Dydd Mercher | 27 Rhagfyr
Dydd Mawrth | 26 Rhagfyr | Dydd Iau | 28 Rhagfyr
Dydd Mercher | 27 Rhagfyr | Dydd Gwener | 29 Rhagfyr
Dydd Iau | 28 Rhagfyr | Dydd Sadwrn | 30 Rhagfyr
Dydd Gwener | 29 Rhagfyr | Dydd Sul | 31 Rhagfyr |
Bydd y trefniadau casglu arferol ar waith bob diwrnod arall. Yn ogystal mae’r newidiadau hyn yn effeithio ar gwsmeriaid gwasanaeth gwastraff masnach y cyngor.
Mae llawer mwy o sbwriel yn dueddol o gael ei gynhyrchu ar yr adeg hon o’r flwyddyn felly mae pobl yn cael eu hannog i geisio ailgylchu cymaint â phosibl.
Dylid defnyddio bagiau glas i ailgylchu eich holl boteli plastig, caniau a ffoil e.e. casys mins peis, cardbord, papur lapio a chardiau.
Dylai unrhyw wastraff bwyd Nadolig fynd yn eich biniau bwyd gwyrdd ar gyfer compostio.
Gellir ailgylchu poteli a jariau gwydr mewn banciau ailgylchu gwydr; ewch i’r tudalennau ailgylchu ar sirgar.llyw.cymru i gael rhagor o wybodaeth.
Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Hazel Evans, yr Aelod o’r Bwrdd Gweithredol dros yr Amgylchedd: “Rydym eisiau atgoffa pobl ynghylch y newidiadau i’r casgliadau dros gyfnod y Nadolig. Yn ogystal mae’n bwysig atgoffa pobl am y bagiau glas fydd yn cael eu dosbarthu. Y gobaith yw y bydd hyn yn ei gwneud hi’n haws i bobl ailgylchu mwy fyth.
“Byddem hefyd yn annog pobl i ddefnyddio’r biniau bwyd oherwydd gwastraff bwyd yw swm sylweddol o’r gwastraff sy’n mynd i safleoedd tirlenwi ar hyn o bryd.”
Hefyd, bydd newidiadau i oriau agor y canolfannau ailgylchu dros gyfnod y Nadolig.
Mae Canolfannau Ailgylchu Trostre (Llanelli), Wernddu (Rhydaman), Nant-y-caws (Caerfyrddin) a Hendy-gwyn ar Daf ar gau Ddydd Nadolig, Gŵyl San Steffan a Dydd Calan.
Mae’r Canolfannau ar agor rhwng 8.30am a 12 canol dydd Noswyl Nadolig a Nos Galan a bydd oriau arferol yn berthnasol ar bob diwrnod arall.
Bydd y rheiny sy’n ailgylchu eu coeden Nadolig yn unrhyw un o’r canolfannau yn derbyn bag o Gompost Hud Myrddin am ddim.

Don’t forget – bin collection days change over Christmas
Residents in Carmarthenshire are being reminded that there are changes to bin collections over the festive period.
Collections will take place as follows:
Normal Day of Collection | Collection on
Monday | 25th December | Wednesday | 27th December |
Tuesday | 26th December | Thursday | 28th December |
Wednesday | 27th December | Friday | 29th December |
Thursday | 28th December | Saturday | 30th December |
Friday | 29th December | Sunday | 31st December |
All other days are as normal. These changes also affect council trade waste customers.
A lot more rubbish tends to be produced at this time of the year so people are being urged to try and recycle as much as possible.
Blue bags should be used to recycle all your plastic bottles, cans and foil, e.g. mince pie cases, cardboard packaging, wrapping paper and cards.
Christmas food waste should go in green food bins so that it can be taken for composting.
Glass bottles and jars can be recycled at glass recycling banks; visit the recycling pages at Carmarthenshire.gov.wales for locations.
Executive Board Member for the Environment Cllr Hazel Evans said: “We want to remind people about the changes to collections over the festive period. It is also important to remind people about the blue bags delivery, we hope it will make it easier for them to recycle even more.
“We would also urge people to use the food bins, as food waste is a significant amount of the waste currently being sent to landfill.”
There are also changes to recycling centre opening times over the Christmas period.
Trostre (Llanelli), Wernddu (Ammanford), Nantycaws (Carmarthen) and Whitland are all closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
They are open 8.30am to 12noon on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, all other days are as normal.
Anyone who recycles their Christmas tree at any of the centres will receive a free bag of Merlin’s Magic Compost.
