* NEW TICKETS LINK LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO MAJOR CITIES
* CONNECTING SERVICES AVAILABLE FROM COVENTRY, CARDIFF AND GLOUCESTER
Leading low cost coach operator megabus.com has announced three new partnerships with local Stagecoach bus companies in England and Wales.
Passengers travelling to and from Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Rugby, Nuneaton and Atherstone are now able to buy a special connecting ticket on the megabus.com website enabling a simple change onto a megabus.com service at Coventry and onward to one of 15 destinations across the UK. Using one ticket bought via one simple booking system, passengers will simply switch from one service to another with ease.
Furthermore with single tickets from only Ā£1*, it could be just the tonic needed to help people beat the New Year blues in January and February by helping them save money on travel.
Passengers in Wales travelling to and from the Valleys will also be able to benefit from connecting services provided by Stagecoach Wales with links to Cardiff from Caerphilly, Blackwood, Merthyr Tydfil, Brynmawr, and Abergavenny. Passengers will then have direct access to London and Bristol with new destinations announced by the end of the year.
megabus.com has also joined forces with Stagecoach West to offer customers in Ross-on-Wye, Hereford and Stroud direct access to services into and out of Gloucester. Passengers travelling to and from Tewkesbury will also be able to connect at Cheltenham for onward travel.
Managing Director of megabus.com, Mark Venables said: “By adding these new connections to our network we are helping to make it easier for our passengers to make journeys between major cities and their local communities through one ticket and one booking system. Not only are we offering great value tickets from only Ā£1* but we’re making the rest of the UK easier to reach with nearly 100 locations available.
“By providing add-on single fares for local bus travel to join megabus.com coaches we are helping to bring car free, carefree intercity travel within easy reach of local communities.”
Tickets, starting from Ā£1 (plus 50p booking fee) are on sale and are currently available until 28 February 2018.
