Welsh punter scoops £25k in just 15 minutes with Betway’s ‘4 to Score’

Monday 8th January, 2018 – A Betway customer from South Wales was celebrating on Saturday evening after the four teams he selected in the bookmaker’s free to enter ‘4 to Score’ game netted him £25,000.

John Bolton, 32, from Llanharan in South Wales, didn’t have long to wait as the four teams he picked – Plymouth, Morecambe, Eastleigh and Brackley – all scored inside the first 15 minutes.

The Manchester United fan is planning to use the money for an upcoming holiday and a deposit on a house.

He said: “What an incredible start to the New Year, I was absolutely speechless when I got the call. I didn’t have much time so I used the randomise button to pick my selections.

“I’ve played 4 to Score a few times this season and the closest I’ve been is two correct selections, but I really enjoy playing the game.

“I’m going on a driving holiday to the US in a couple of months and this will really help with the spending money. I was also looking for a deposit to put down on a house, so I’ll be using the rest of the money for that. For me it’s life-changing.”

Betway’s Alan Alger, said: “What a fantastic start to 2018 for John. Just 15 minutes into Saturday afternoon’s football and he has scooped an incredible £25,000.

“We wish him all the best for his upcoming holiday and his house hunting when he comes back from America.”

The 4 to Score game gives punters the chance to predict the first four teams to score in the Saturday three o’clock kick-offs across each of English football’s four leagues – with anyone guessing correctly winning £25,000.

Because this week was an FA Cup week the four leagues for the competition were: League One, League Two, National League and National League North.
