Mae BIP Hywel Dda wrth ei fodd yn cyhoeddi penodiad dau Arweinydd Ardal newydd iâr rhanbarth. Dr Kerry Phillips, Partner ym Meddygfa Taf yn Hendy-gwyn-ar-daf yn y rĂ´l yng nghoridor Hendy-gwyn-ar-daf i dref Caerfyrddin a Dyffryn Tywi hyd at Llanymddyfri. Yn Sir Benfro, Dr Martin Mackintosh, Partner ym Meddygfa Arberth yn y rĂ´l yn ardal De Sir Benfro. Byddant yn cymryd yr awenau oddi wrth dau Ymarferydd Cyffredinol uchel eu parch sef Dr Carwyn Jones a Dr Richard Bury sydd wedi cynrychioli eu hardaloedd fel Arweinwyr Ardal am nifer o flynyddoedd. Bydd Dr Jones yn dychwelyd i weithioân llawn amser fel Meddyg Teulu ym Meddygfa Furnace House, Caerfyrddin a bydd Dr Bury yn parhau i weithio ym Meddygfa Argyle, Doc Penfro. Wrth sĂ´n am y datblygiad hwn, dywedodd Jill Paterson, Cyfarwyddwr dros dro Comisiynu, Gofal Sylfaenol, TherapĂŻau a Gwyddorau Iechyd: âDymunaâr Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol ddiolch i Dr Jones a Dr Bury am eu gwaith caled aâu hymroddiad dros y blynyddoedd i sefydlu a symud rĂ´l Arweinydd Ardal yn ei flaen yn eu hardaloedd, a hynny traân parhau i weithio fel Meddygon Teulu yn lleol. Hywel Dda are delighted to announce the appointment of two new Locality Leads to the region. Dr Kerry Phillips, a GP Partner at Meddygfa Taf Surgery in Whitland will be taking on the role which covers the Whitland to Carmarthen Town corridor and the Twyi Valley as far as Llandovery. In Pembrokeshire Dr Martin Mackintosh, a GP Partner at Narberth Surgery will take on the role of Locality Lead for the South Pembrokeshire region. They take over the helm from two very well respected General Practitioners, Dr Carwyn Jones and Dr Richard Bury who have represented their areas as Locality Leads for several years. Dr Jones resumes his position as a full time GP at Furnace House Surgery, Carmarthen and Dr Bury will continue to work at Argyle Medical Group Practice, Pembroke Dock. Commenting on this development, Interim Director of Commissioning, Primary Care, Therapies and Health Sciences, Jill Paterson, says âThe Health Board would like to thank Dr Jones and Dr Bury for the hard work and dedication they have shown over the years in establishing and taking forward the role as the Locality Lead for their respective area, whilst continuing to work as a local GP. We wish them well as they continue their positions at their respective Practices. âWe also congratulate and warmly welcome Dr Phillips and Dr Mackintosh to their new roles and know they will do a splendid job representing their Locality with the full support of the Health Board behind them.â
