Dywedodd Prif Weithredwr Hanfod Cymru, Siôn Brynach:
“Cawsom ein rhyfeddu gan y nifer fawr o geisiadau da a ddaeth i law yn y ddwy rownd gyntaf o geisiadau am grantiau yn ystod 2017 . Gobeithiwn yn fawr y bydd y rownd hon yn denu ceisiadau o’r un safon.
“Mae gan elusennau tan ddydd GŴYL DEWI 1 MAWRTH i gyflwyno cais, a bydd y grantiau a ddyfernir gan Fwrdd Hanfod Cymru yn cael eu cyhoeddi cyn diwedd Ebrill. Gobeithio y bydd y cyhoeddiad hwnnw yn newyddion da i lu o elusennau ym mhob cwr o Gymru.”
Sefydlwyd Hanfod Cymru er mwyn dosbarthu’r arian a godwyd gan Loteri Cymru tuag at Achosion da. Mae lleiafswm o 20% o’r elw o gyfanswm gwerthiant tocynnau Loteri Cymru yn cael ei gyfeirio at achosion da yng Nghymru trwy’r elusen. Mae’n gweithredu’n hollol annibynnol gyda’i Bwrdd Ymddiriedolwyr ei hun, ac mae’n gweithredu’n annibynnol ar Loteri Cymru, sy’n goruchwylio’r loteri wythnosol.

HANFOD CYMRU: APPLY FOR A GRANT NOW!
On St Dwynwen’s Day Hanfod Cymru will ‘spread the love’ by opening its doors to applications from charities across Wales for small grants of up to £10,000. The applications can be for projects or activities taking place in the areas OF CULTURE AND ART, EDUCATION OR SOCIAL WELFARE. The application for a grant can be for any activity within these areas, as long as it is beyond the statutory field.
Speaking today, Hanfod Cymru Chief Executive, Siôn Brynach, said:
“We were amazed by the number and high quality of the applications we received in the first two rounds of applications for grants during 2017.
We very much hope that this third round will attract applications of the same standard.
“Charities have until ST DAVID’S DAY, 1 MARCH, to present an application, and the announcement regarding which charities the Hanfod Cymru Board wish to support will be published towards the end of April.
I hope that the announcement on funding will be a boost for a number of charities from all parts of Wales.”
Hanfod Cymru was established to distribute the money raised for good causes by Loteri Cymru. A minimum of 20% of Loteri Cymru gross ticket sale proceeds is being channelled to good causes in Wales through the charity. Hanfod Cymru operates independently and has its own Board of Trustees, which operates independently of Loteri Cymru, which oversees the weekly draw.
