AM supports action to prevent climate chaos
Campaigners from the Stop Climate Chaos Cymru group met with Assembly Members in Cardiff Bay to press for action on climate change.
Plaid Cymru Mid and West AM Simon Thomas gave his support for Stop Climate Chaos Cymru’s #WalesStandsUp campaign.
Last year, hundreds of people and their pets across Wales shared pictures of their stand for Wales’ Global Responsibility on social media. From sandals on sand to slippers at sunset, they made their stand in the places they love and want to protect in support of those facing adverse effects from the changing climate right now across the world.
Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Energy, Climate Change and Rural Affairs Simon Thomas said:
“I support Wales standing up to climate change and being a globally responsible nation.
“We know that climate change is already having a huge impact on communities across the globe, and is going to have a massive effect on the way we all live our lives, but if individuals make a stand, and if politicians take urgent action, we can help tackle it.
“I’m encouraging everyone to stand up to climate change and show their love for Wales and the planet.”
