Planning event for community and town councils
AN event has been held for community and town councils across the county to find out more about the planning process.
Carmarthenshire County Council hosted the free event at Parc y Scarlets, which was opened up to representatives of the 72 community and town councils in the county.
The course was run by Planning Aid Wales and covered a wide range of topics, from an overview of planning, to the development management process and recent changes.
Increasing liaison and improving engagement and communication with town and community councils is a key aim of Carmarthenshire County Council as part of its five year plan, Moving Forward in Carmarthenshire.
This was the first of many events being put together to support councils to work better together.
Executive Board Member for community and town councils, Cllr Peter Hughes Griffiths said: “This event was held to bring all of the community and town councils together and to share information with them about the planning process, which is an important part of their role.”
It is hoped that this will be followed by further events in the future.
Digwyddiad cynllunio ar gyfer cynghorau cymuned a thref
MAE digwyddiad wedi ei gynnal ar gyfer cynghorau cymuned a thref ar draws y sir, er mwyn iddynt ddysgu rhagor am y broses gynllunio.
Cynhaliodd Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin y digwyddiad rhad ac am ddim hwn ym Mharc y Scarlets, a oedd yn agored i gynrychiolwyr o’r 72 o gynghorau cymuned a thref sydd yn y sir.
Roedd y cwrs yn cael ei redeg gan Gymorth Cynllunio Cymru a rhoddwyd sylw i ystod eang o bynciau, gan gynnwys bwrw golwg gyffredinol ar gynllunio, y broses rheoli datblygu, a newidiadau diweddar.
Mae cydgysylltu rhagor a gwella ymgysylltu a chyfathrebu â chynghorau cymuned a thref yn un o nodau allweddol Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin fel rhan o’i gynllun pum mlynedd, Symud Ymlaen yn Sir Gaerfyrddin.
Hwn oedd y cyntaf o nifer o ddigwyddiadau sy’n cael eu trefnu i helpu cynghorau i gydweithio’n well.
Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Peter Hughes Griffiths, yr Aelod o’r Bwrdd Gweithredol dros gynghorau cymuned a thref: “Cafodd y digwyddiad hwn ei gynnal i ddwyn ynghyd yr holl gynghorau cymuned a thref ac i rannu gwybodaeth â nhw am y broses gynllunio, sy’n rhan bwysig o’u rôl.”
Y gobaith yw y bydd digwyddiadau eraill tebyg yn dilyn yn y dyfodol.
