Crews are blue as recycling bags stolen

BLUE bags currently being delivered free to every household in Carmarthenshire are being stolen after they have been left by crews, it has been claimed.

Council staff have received notification from residents that their allocations have been taken by other individuals and without the authority’s consent.

By the end of February, each household will have received three rolls of blue recycling bags.

The decision to deliver to each household was made following resident feedback – people asked for blue bags to be more accessible to help them recycle more.

Executive board member responsible for environment, Cllr Hazel Evans, said: “I would like to reassure people that everyone will have a delivery of their allocation of three rolls before the end of the month and anyone who hasn’t had their delivery as of yet and requires a roll in the meantime can visit one of our official outlets.

“If anyone comes across people taking someone else’s allocation I would encourage them to inform us of any information and give us as much detail as possible, for example their car registration, that will help us to identify the individuals carrying out this activity so that we can investigate further.”

Anyone who has not received a delivery by the end of February is asked to contact the council’s customer services.

Criwiau’n siomedig wrth i fagiau glas gael eu dwyn

MAE bagiau glas sy’n cael eu dosbarthu am ddim ar hyn o bryd i bob aelwyd yn Sir Gaerfyrddin yn cael eu dwyn ar ôl i’r criwiau eu dosbarthu, yn ôl pob sôn.

Mae staff y Cyngor wedi cael gwybod gan breswylwyr bod unigolion eraill wedi bod yn mynd â’u bagiau glas a hynny heb ganiatâd yr Awdurdod.

Erbyn diwedd mis Chwefror, bydd pob aelwyd wedi derbyn tri rolyn o fagiau glas.

Gwnaed y penderfyniad i ddosbarthu bagiau glas i bob aelwyd yn dilyn adborth gan breswylwyr.  Roedd pobl yn gofyn i fagiau glas fod yn fwy hygyrch er mwyn eu helpu nhw i ailgylchu mwy.

Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Hazel Evans, yr Aelod o’r Bwrdd Gweithredol sy’n gyfrifol am yr Amgylchedd: “Carwn sicrhau pobl y bydd pawb wedi cael tri rolyn o fagiau glas cyn diwedd y mis a gall unrhyw un sydd heb eu derbyn eto ac sydd eu hangen ymweld ag un o’n mannau casglu swyddogol yn y cyfamser.”

“Os bydd unigolion yn gweld pobl yn mynd â bagiau glas rhywun arall, byddwn yn eu hannog nhw i roi gwybod i ni gan nodi cymaint o fanylion â phosibl e.e. rhif cofrestru’r car, a fydd yn ein helpu ni i wybod pwy yw’r unigolion sy’n mynd â’r bagiau hyn, er mwyn i ni ymchwilio ymhellach.”

Gofynnir i unrhyw un sydd heb dderbyn cyflenwad o fagiau glas erbyn diwedd mis Chwefror gysylltu â Gwasanaethau Cwsmeriaid y Cyngor.
