PROFILE

Born in Chester but brought up in Wales. A product of the North Wales Crusaders academy sides, Blake made his first team debut in 2017, making seven appearances before joining Championship side Rochdale Hornets for 2018. Originally in rugby union with Wrexham at youth level from 8 years old, Blake switched to rugby league with North Wales Crusaders’ under 15s, going through the system with the 16s and 18s and also spent time on Warrington Wolves books as an under 16 player. A Wales Student international, this will be his second trip to Australia in the space of 12 months, after playing in last year’s Student World Cup.

 

ANEURIN “NYE” WALKER

Birthplace: Pontypridd

PROFILE

Nye played in the youth teams of his home town rugby union club Pontypridd before starting to play rugby league last year with Rhondda Outlaws, also based at Sardis Road in Pontypridd. The second youngest player in Wales’ Commonwealth Championships squad, he won a cap for Wales at under 18 level late last year after impressing in the Outlaws first team as a 17-year old. Signed on with West Wales Raiders for 2018.
