CARMARTHENSHIRE TYRE COMPANY ON THE ROAD TO SUCCESS WITH HSBC SUPPORT
Mayes Tyres, a mobile tyre fitting company based in Llanybydder, Carmarthenshire, has secured a six-figure commercial mortgage from HSBC to purchase its first premises.
The funding has allowed Iwan Mayes-Davis, owner of Mayes Tyres, to purchase the 3,846 sq ft property after leasing a smaller premises for eight years. The new property includes a workshop, an office and a reception area, and has allowed Iwan to create two new full-time and one part-time positions.
Mayes Tyres, which was founded in 2010, supplies tyres for commercial, agricultural and industrial vehicles, as well as offering a mobile fitting service with a fleet of three vans.
Iwan Mayes-Davis, owner of Mayes-Tyres, said: “The new, larger premises will completely transform the service I can offer my customers and I’m thrilled with the level of support I’ve received from my HSBC relationship manager, Lisa Griffiths. Since starting the company in 2010 it has been an ambition of mine to own my own property, so I am delighted to see my dream become a reality.”

Mayes Tyres also supplies to wholesalers in the area and exports to a customer in New Zealand.
